How to View and Remove Stored Passwords in Internet Explorer

 As usual, all the web browsers offer auto complete option, so this option is available in IE or Internet Explorer too, As everyone know this is a kind of great features with our busy works, whatever browser remembering your user name and passwords for you and apply it auto when you login to that website again, like an email, banking, or shopping site, social sites like Facebook. But it’s more dangerous than it’s easy with your life, because if any person could login to that computer what stored your usernames and passwords, less than 10 clicks anyone can find passwords, so don’t you thinks it’s dangerous? 

I’m going to show in this tutorial how you can view and remove all or specific stored passwords for websites in Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) in your account in Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT 8.1.

Method one – Find, view and manage stored Passwords for Sites in “ Credential Manager ” this is the only way what you can view passwords what you have saved in IE

Open Credential Manager

• Go to the Control Panel in icons view, now find Credential Manager icon and click to open it ( As in Image A )  or click Tools button in Internet Explorer ( As in Image B1 ) and click on the “Internet Options” in that menu, then Click on the 4th / “Content” tab, and then click on Settings under “AutoComplete” now you can click on Manage Passwords buttons as you see in billow picture ( As in Image B2 )
 

 

 

• Now click on Web Credentials to select it, when you select Web Credentials you can see all websites list bellow, you can expand the listed website under "Web Passwords",

• Now you can click on “Show” link to view password and then enter you have to enter your Windows user account password to verify this is your windows account. That is all what you have to do,

• If you wish to delete password for any website you can click “remove “ link

The Second method to Delete / Remove All Stored Passwords for All Sites – Use  Browsing History

• Open the Internet Options via Control Panel (icon view) or click Tools button in Internet Explorer and click on the “Internet Options” in that menu as you can see abow B1 Image

• Click on the 4th / “Content” tab, and then click on Settings under AutoComplete as you can see in abow B2 Image

• Now Clicking on the Delete AutoComplete history button, you can open the “Delete Browsing history” popup

• Also Click on the 1st / General tab, click on the Delete button under Browsing history, this also opens the “Delete Browsing history” popup

As you can see the picture billow tick “Password” form and just click “Delete” button, all passwords you have stored in Internet Explorer is cleared..
